Three Fordyce residents were killed in a three-vehicle accident in Bentonville Wednesday.

According to a preliminary report, a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Sammy Tucker, 63, was northbound on North Walton Blvd. at Oakwood Avenue when a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a juvenile that had been southbound veered into the northbound lane and struck the Chrysler head-on.

Tucker and two passengers in his car, Lisa Tucker, 61, and Norma Castleberry, 85, were killed.

A 2005 Ford Escape that had been behind the Chevrolet in the outside lane did not have time to stop and rear ended the Chevrolet after the original collision. The Ford was also driven by a juvenile, and both drivers were taken to a hospital in Rogers, as was a juvenile who had been a passenger in the Chrysler.

The accident was reported at 3:51 p.m. and the deaths bring to 130 the number of people killed on the state’s highways so far this year.
