One person was killed and three others injured in a one-vehicle traffic accident in Dallas County at Fordyce Thursday night.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Waashchad Jacobs, 33, of Bearden was traveling northbound on Arkansas Highway 273 when the 2010 Buick Lacrosse he was driving traveled into the southbound ditch. After entering the ditch, Jacobs over corrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Jacobs was killed in the accident and three passengers, Tranisha Finister, 33, of Hot Springs and two minors who were not identified in the report were injured.
The accident was reported at 9:44 p.m. and Jacobs’ death was the 184th fatality so far this year on the state’s highways.
