Little Rock Police Officers were called to the I-430 bridge of the Arkansas River on Monday about a suicide attempt around 12:40 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 60-year-old woman swimming from under the bridge towards the shore.
When officers attempted to take her into custody, she tried to run back into the river. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment and mental evaluation.
No other information is known at this time.
