A three vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 270 and Highway 104 in Jefferson County claimed the life of a White Hall resident.

74-year-old Annie Sue Arnold was driving a 2015 Chevrolet when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the end of Highway 104 where it intersects at Highway 270. Her vehicle was hit by a 2017 Chevrolet driven by 44-year-old Mandy Shroud of Sheridan – who was driving west along Highway 270 – and a 2002 Ford driven by 32-year-old Cameron Armour of Lake Village – who was driving east along Highway 270 – according to the Arkansas State Police. The accident was reported at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.

Arnold was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelly at the scene.

Arnold’s death is the 31st traffic related death in 2020 according to the Arkansas State Police.
