Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has identified Wednesday night’s homicide victim as 29-year-old Terrence Jamal White from Star City.

Kelley pronounced White deceased at 12:05 a.m.

His body will be sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy on Friday.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a homicide investigation.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night, a police officer was patrolling the area of Short 3rd Avenue and Grant Street in reference to a call of gunshots in the area.

Soon thereafter the body of an unidentified adult male with gunshot wounds was found. The body was located in a park, and was pronounced dead by the Jefferson County Coroner at the scene.

The body will be taken to the State Crime Lab to determine cause and manner of death.
