The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will be sponsoring a Juneteenth celebration in downtown Pine Bluff this Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Wednesday, George Cotton, Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Development talked about the event on Oldies 1013.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Cotton, who described himself as the “fund raiser” why UAPB is doing this.
Cotton said UAPB is partnering with the city for the event.
Horne also asked Cotton if organizers were expecting people from outside the city to attend the event.
