UAPB Soccer Falls On The Road To Southern U.

Baton Rouge, LA—The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women’s soccer team fell to Southern U. Lady Jaguars 2-1. Sunday evening  at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

UAPB got on the board early in the game with a goal (1-0) by Iyannah Hicks in the 20 min mark. The Lady Jaguars responding in the second half, scoring two goals in the 45 min mark and 54 min mark to take their first lead of the game (2-1).

UAPB had an opportunity to tie the game with less than a minute to play with a sharp kick up the middle by Rodriguez Cameron, but the Lady Jaguars goalie made a save to seal the win.

The Lady Lions had a total of 12 shots at the goal, led by Hicks who finished the game with five shots and four shots on goal, followed by Cameron with four shots and three shots on goal. Goalie, Kimberly Moss finished with 10 saves for the Lady Lions.

The Lady Lions will be back in action Friday April 2nd to wrap up regular season play at home against Grambling St. at Pumphrey Stadium.
