UAPB Men Hoops Release 2021-22 Regular Season Schedule
PINE BLUFF, AR – Looking to have a successful season headed in a new direction, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men’s basketball team announced their 2021-22 regular-season schedule.
The Golden Lions will start their season off with 13 non-conference games.
UAPB’s non-conference will start with a massive seven-game road trip, debuting against Creighton in Omaha, NE, on Nov 9th.
The Golden Lions then head west to Fort Collins, CO, to take on Colorado State on Nov 12th before heading north to Laramie, WY, to match up with Wyoming on Nov 14th.
Looking to take over the west coast, the Golden Lions will take their talents to the hardwood floors of Portland in Portland, OR on Nov 18th, then will travel north to the Emerald City, also known as Seattle, WA, to take on Seattle on Nov 22nd. UAPB will then head to Stockton, CA, to take on Pacific University on Nov 24th.
The Golden Lions will conclude their seven-game road trip in Santa Barbara, CA, against California Santa Barbara on Nov 26th and return to home court to take on Arkansas Baptist College on Nov 29th.
Heading back on the road for a two-game road trip, the Golden Lions will travel to Ames, IA, to square up against Iowa State on Dec 1st. Later that week, UAPB will go head-to-head with 2021 NCAA National Champion Baylor in Waco, TX, on Dec 4th.
Returning home, first-year UAPB head coach Soloman Bozeman is excited to take on Arkansas State in Golden Lion Nation on Dec 8th, looking to put on a show for fans before heading to Austin, TX, to compete against the Texas Longhorns on Dec 14th and finishing off non-conference play at home against Ecclesia College on Dec 18th.
The Golden Lions will begin to turn heads in SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) conference play on Jan 3rd, taking on Alabama A&M and Mo’ Williams’ Alabama State on Jan 5th at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
After playing both Alabama teams for the first time in the regular season, the Golden Lions will make their Texas tour, making their first stop at Texas Southern on Jan 8th and then to Prairie View A&M on Jan 10th.
Both Florida teams will make their way to H.O. Clemmons Arena, with Florida A&M being the first matchup on Jan 15th and Bethune Cookman on Jan 17th.
Onto their Louisiana tour, UAPB will travel to Baton Rouge, LA to face Southern on Jan 22nd and make their way to Grambling, LA, to compete against Grambling State on Jan 24th.
UAPB will then travel to Itta Bena, MS, to face Mississippi Valley State on Jan 29th.
The Golden Lions return home to face Alcorn State on Feb 5th and Jackson State on Feb 7th.
UAPB will continue their season on the road in Alabama, facing Alabama State on Feb 12th and Alabama A&M on Feb 14th before returning home for their last three home games against Prairie View A&M on Feb 19th, Texas Southern on Feb 21st, and Mississippi Valley State on Feb 26th.
Concluding their regular season on the road in Mississippi, the Golden Lions will face Jackson State on Mar 3rd, and their final regular-season game on Mar 5th against Alcorn State.
SWAC Tournament play will be in session from Mar. 8 – 12.
