University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff student-athletes continue to graduate at a high level that exceeds the national average.
Data release by the NCAA shows UAPB Athletics with a 78 percent graduation rate. The graduation success rate is determined by the sum of two categories: the percentage of freshmen student-athletes who entered the university in 2013-14 and graduated in a six-year period ending in 2019-20, combined with the percentage of student-athletes who entered the University during a four-year period from 2010-11 to 2013-14.
The GSR for student-athletes is based only on those receiving some form of athletics aid (grants, scholarships, etc.) upon entering the University.
A total of 47 percent of student-athletes who entered UAPB in 2013-14 graduated in the calculated six-year span. Additionally, 53 percent of student-athletes who entered the university during the four-year period of 2010-11 to 2013-14 earned degrees.
Volleyball led the way with a 1000 GSR rate, followed by softball (91 percent) women’s cross country / track (90 percent), women’s basketball and soccer (each at 88 percent). Baseball (78 percent), men’s basketball (76 percent), women’s cross country/track and men’s golf (67 percent), and football (64 percent) complete the Golden Lion report card.
