Two people were killed and a third injured in a two-vehicle accident in Baxter County Monday morning.
According to a preliminary report, a 2005 Sterling truck driven by Michael Ragland, 61, of Marshall was northbound on Arkansas Highway 126 when the truck failed to yield the right of way and struck a 2010 Chrysler driven by Jennifer Watlington, 39, of Yellville that was southbound on Arkansas Highway 5.
Watlington and a passenger in her car, Sunshine Underhill, 40, of Summit were killed and Ragland was injured and taken to the Baxter Regional Medical Center.
The report said there was heavy fog when the accident was reported at 7:25 a.m. The deaths bring ot 398 the number of people killed on the state’s highways so far thi
