Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 and last week, Rev. Jesse Turner and Rev. Willliam Shaw joined United Way Director Leslie Dorn to talk about the Pastors on Patrol program which Turner was one of the originators of.
Morning show host Greg Horne said he believed the group should concentrate of schools in the Pine Bluff and Watson Chapel districts where a lot of the students don’t have parents involved, instead of the private schools where parents are involved.
Turner said there are 50 pastors who are active in the program but about 100 on the roll.
