State Representative Mike Holcomb of Pine Bluff said Tuesday the state’s budget has increased every year because of a growing economy, particularly in Northwest Arkansas. Holcomb was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.

Reacting to Holcomb saying he was a highway man, Morning Show host Greg Horne talked about the freeway that was built between Alma and Rogers. “That place exploded,” Horne said.

Horne said the legislature has just increased teacher pay, particularly starting pay.

He then went on to say  this.

Horne said there are a couple of districts in this area that are not fully staffed with certified teachers.
