The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will host a free two-day youth baseball hitting clinic this weekend in Pine Bluff as part of an effort to promote youth engagement and community involvement.

Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. announced the clinic will be held Jan. 17–18 at 3811 W. 25th Ave., located behind Sissy’s Log Cabin. Sessions are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

The clinic will feature instruction from Mike Mosley, known as “Mr. 7000,” a former Major League Baseball player and elite batting practice pitcher. Mosley holds a Guinness World Record for throwing 7,000 hittable pitches in under nine hours and operates the Mr. 7000 Baseball Academy, which focuses on developing young athletes and training professional players.
