The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff announced earlier this week that Brad Powell has been hired as the new pitching coach for the Golden Lions baseball program.
Powell brings an extensive baseball background and is expected to provide valuable knowledge and experience to the team. He spoke with Deltaplex News to introduce himself to Golden Lions fans and share more about his career and coaching philosophy.
Powell said that a strong relationship with head coach Logan Stout helped to lead him to Pine Bluff.
Powell said he will meet with each pitcher on the team to figure out ways to help each of them get better.
He finished with what he hopes the team can accomplish over the offseason.
