A Rison man was killed Thursday in an industrial accident in Columbia County.
The victim was identified as Danny Brent Wilkins, 43, who was part of a Union Pacific work crew that was working to repair a washed-out area of track near McNeil in Columbia County.
Wilkins was reportedly killed by machinery, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.
