Right after she was named police chief, Denise Richardson asked the Pine Bluff City Council to allow the department to bring back officers who had left for other jobs at the same rank they were holding when they left and at the same pay. The council went along with the request and on Thursday, Richardson appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show and talked about the council’s actions.
She went on to say that she had had some success with the program.

Morning show host Greg Horne told Richardson that just bringing back veteran offices is not going to fix the department’s problems and she agreed.
