The Progressive Women’s Association will host the annual Fall Scholarship Auction on Friday, November 2  2018.

This event will begin at 6:00pm at White Hall City Hall.

“The Progressive Women’s Association is committed to helping women in our area further their college education,” according to a news release.  “Presently, the organization is providing scholarships for Megan Tyler, Emily Grace Welch, Camryn Williams and Sabrina Self.”

Proceeds from the auction will help fund the scholarships.  Auction items will include restaurant gift certificates, hunting supplies, arts, quilts, clothing store gift certificates, jewelry and other items.

Also as a fundraiser, the group is raffling off an afghan made by Linda Hurd.  Tickets are being sold by members.  The drawing for the afghan will take place at the auction.

Tracy Robinson, of Robinson Auction Company, donates his time to auction the items.  Refreshments will be provided by Catering by Scotty Ray.

“Get your Christmas shopping done early and come to a party at the same time,” a spokesperson said in the news release.
