Pine Bluff Urban Renewal Agency approves lease agreement;Talk housing Updates

The Pine Bluff Urban Renewal Agency hosted its regular monthly meeting Tuesday briefly discussing one action item on its agenda and reviewing information on projects underway.

The Executive Director of URA, Chandra Griffin proposed a lease of land agreement with a non-profit, The Corvette Brothers of Pine Bluff which want to lease a property owned by URA. Griffin explained more about the agreement to the commissioners.

The commissioners approved the lease agreement with the condition of a legal description provided by the survey.

Griffin covered the rest of the meeting with updates on housing and announcements during her report. For their housing development on West 33rd and Plum, URA is working with UofA staff and students on the design of the property and she went on to explain the progress of the development agreement.

Griffin did advise the commissioners that a special meeting will be called in March to get that final development agreement approved.

Some announcements mentioned included Griffin arranging to be on the agenda of the City Councils Planning and Development committee to request permission to work out of the URA area for specified projects. She also announced another Green Sweep that will take place on April 1st.
