The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead. Shortly after 1:00 p.m. officers responded to the area of 28th and Elm in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived they found a male shooting
victim at 28th and Elm.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene by a Jefferson County Deputy Coroner. The victim is a juvenile and his identity will not be released by this department.
The investigation is in the early stages and there are no reported suspects at this time. Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call the detective office at 870-730-2090 or the dispatch center at 870-541-5300.
The body will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
This is the 8th homicide for Pine Bluff in 2022.
