A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of trying to cash a stolen check.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Gleland Lee Brock, 24, with forgery and theft by receiving.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Friday afternoon, police were sent to Simmons Bank on West 28th Avenue in response to a report that a man was trying to cash a check that had been reported stolen.
Wilfong reported that police spoke to Brock’s girlfriend who said they got a ride to the bank from another individual and Brock was the one trying to cash the check.
He was told to come back to court July 17.
