A Pine Bluff man died in a fire early Tuesday morning.
According to Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley, Charles Williams, 73, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:30 a.m.
The fire was reported at 707 W. Pullen St., the site of Jonas Williams Upholstery.
Fire and Emergency Services Chief Shauwn Howell said firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke when they arrived at the scene after receiving the call at 9:26 a.m. No other injuries were reported.
Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
This was the second fire death in Pine Bluff this year.
