Like many other police departments around the country, the Pine Bluff Police Department of short of trained officers and in recent years has seen some of those departments openly recruit and hire Pine Bluff officers because of their training and what they experience here.
Police Chief Denise Richardson was asked about that when she appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Morning show host Greg Horne told Richardson that it seems like now Pine Bluff is doing the same thing as some officers who left have come back while officers who work for other departments are trying to come here.
Richardson said the department is trying make things a little more relaxed for people because we were so strict some people couldn’t see living their life that way.
