DC Comics has announced a line of variant covers in its Dark Nights: Death Metal series featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Megadeth, among other hard-rock acts.
Each of the seven Dark Nights: Death Metal — Band Edition issues will feature a special cover depicting a different metal artist in a comic-book style, along with an introduction written by said artist, and an exclusive interview.
Others taking part include Dream Theater, Sepultura, Ghost, Lacuna Coil and Opeth. The covers will be available starting in March.
Dark Nights: Death Metal, which follows characters including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman as they take on a villain known as the Batman Who Laughs, originally launched last June. It was accompanied by a visual component featuring Black Veil Brides‘ Andy Biersack as the Caped Crusader, and a new Rise Against song called “Broken Dreams, Inc.”
