A Benton man was killed and a juvenile injured in a two-vehicle accident in rural Grant County Friday.
According to a preliminary report, David Marano, 54, was northbound on Arkansas Highway 35 north approaching Grant County Road 64 when the 2024 Subaru he was driving was struck head-on by a 2008 Ford F-150 driven by an unidentified minor that had been southbound and crossed the center line.
Marano was killed and the minor was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident was reported at 6:02 p.m. and the death was the 493rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
