A Clark County man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday night in a rural part of the county.
According to a preliminary report, Jimmy Don Currey, 72, of Gurdon was southbound on Kansas Road near Boiling Springs Road when the vehicle he was driving let the roadway and entered the wood line striking several trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Deputy Coroner Corey Stover.
The accident was reported at 5:29 p.m. and the death was the 292nd so far this year on the state’s highways.
