Brother Willie Purifoy Jr. was born to the late Laura Gene Reed-Rayford and Willie Purifoy Sr. on September 11,1980 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He departed this life on March 21, 2024.
He attended school in the Dollarway School District. Willie accepted Christ and was baptized at the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Rev. Larry C. Battles at an early age.
Brother Willie, known as “Uncle Willie”, loved his family so dearly! No matter what life lessons were thrown at him, he always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. Uncle Willie could sing, but he most definitely had great talents ...especially when he was a part of UFC. He never lost one fight!
Later in life he began driving trucks and cutting trees and doing odd jobs until the day he was taken away.
He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Gene Reed-Rayford, father Willie Purifoy Sr., stepfather Cleveland Rayford, grandparents George and Willie Mae Holmes -Reed, sisters Deanna “Toi” Reed and Omeca Purifoy and one grand nephew Timothy Porter.
Willie and Lindsey Puckett were high school sweethearts and married in 2009 and divorced 2019. Even though the marriage ended, their friendship never did. Now that his day has ended, he leaves to cherish his memories one son Zion Purifoy and two daughters Alexandria Purifoy and Anayla Purifoy all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He later was remarried to Nina Kay Waddell- Purifoy of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. One loving sister Trina Reed of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Five beautiful nieces April Reed, Kendra Reed, Jasmine Moore, Marquita Reed and Shameika Jones all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and one handsome nephew Loranza Porter III of Wrightsville, Arkansas. Twenty-one great-nieces and nephews; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Billie Jean "B.J." Jackson Memorial Chapel. with Rev. Larry Ward Officiating Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens by Paradise Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2024, from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm at Paradise.
