Quinton Wayne Hood, 95 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away April 17, 2024, in Monticello, Arkansas. Born in Calhoun County, Mississippi on March 2, 1929, the son of the late Lang and Braddie Baker Hood. His parents, and his wife of 68 years Verna Aldridge Hood, son in law Bruce Irons, brothers Jim Hood, John Hood, William Hood, Charles Hood, Sterling Hood, and Wilburn Hood, Dale Hood, Ruby Hood and Chesteen Hood, Sisters, Jewel Putnam, Grace Clanton, Janett Parker, Juanita Dickey, Aileen Perry, and Annabelle Perry, all preceded him in death.
Mr. Hood was of Baptist faith and a member of Bradford Chapel Church. He was the farm manager for R.B. Stimson farms for over 60 years before retiring.
The survivors are his daughter Karen Irons of Dumas, Arkansas, one brother Glen Earl Hood of Euporia, Mississippi, and a grandson Zach and his wife Amy and 3 great grandchildren Abby, Zoe and Jacob, numerous nieces, and nephews.
Both visitation and funeral service are to be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Griffin Funeral Home, visitation from 1-2 pm, and services at 2 pm with Rev. Roger Milligan officiating burial in Walnut Lake Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Mr. Hood may be made to Walnut Lake Cemetery or Donor’s charity of choice.
