It is with profound sorrow that we the caring and professional staff of the Christian Way Funeral Home, join with the entire Murray and Mitcham family in announcing the earthly transition of our beloved Lois Louise Murray, 96, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on March 31, 2024.
Lois Louise Murray was born to C.E. and Mary Ellen White in Cotton Plant, Arkansas July 21, 1927, and passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Louise spent a short time in Cotton Plant before moving to Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Louise was married to Ray H. Mitcham for twenty-six years and had four surviving children Barabara (Dan) Kimes, Billy Ray (Elaine) Mitcham, Monica Mitcham, Robin Divine, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Louise was a homemaker and her passion was working in her flower beds and yard. She had a natural green thumb and was very good at it. Louise loved everything pretty (which was one of her best things to say). It's SO pretty!! It being Easter Sunday when Louise passed away, we can hear her saying it's Easter and I don't have that pretty dress and heels I like to wear!!
Later in life, Louise married Hugh P. Murray and was married until his death at the age of 98. Louise moved into her daughter’s (Monica Mitcham) home where she was taken care of for several years by Monica and several caretakers. She was so blessed to have the best possible care by people who really loved her, and she loved them!! Louise was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff for many years and will be greatly missed.
