1956-2024
David Jackson was born October 14, 1956, in Pine Bluff to Edward Lee and Deloyce Cullins Jackson. He attended Sheridan High School and was a construction worker, having worked for English Construction Company and Arkla Gas. Later he worked in maintenance for the Jefferson County Health Department and for the City of Stuttgart where he served as Administrator of Mosquito Control. David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and previously served as past Grand Knight. In his spare time, David loved to fish, and if it had water and a fish, he would drop a line, regardless of where it was!
David passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at his home at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cheryl Suzanne Rhoades.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Petrus Jackson, whom he married October 1, 1982, in Pine Bluff; one son, Daniel Jackson; one daughter, April Massingale and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Damon, Dylan, and Dawson Burchett, and Ashton and Daniel Massingale; and a niece, Rebecca May.
A Rosary service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Marconi officiating, followed immediately by a Memorial Mass.
