1941-2024
Carolyn Ann Christian, 82, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at home. She was born November 22, 1941 in Pine Bluff, daughter of Hubert Alton Clement and Ruth Maxine West Clement.
Carolyn was reared and received her early education in Watson Chapel. She served the Watson Chapel School District as a nutritionist for many years, retiring May 30, 2007. Mrs. Christian was a proud member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She loved camping in Mountain View.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Edward Christian, whom she married May 23, 1971 in Shell Chapel Presbyterian Church in Star City; son, Larry Lain of Pine Bluff; daughters, Rebecca Lain of Pine Bluff, Katie Gibbs of Sylvia, North Carolina, Rebecca ‘Becky” Frazier of Louisville, Kentucky and Karen Edney of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Tommy Clement of Yellville; two sisters, Sherry Beckwith of Pine Bluff and Tammy Davis of Grapevine; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Brother David Leopard and Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 p.m. until service time at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
