1953-2024
Betty Christine Chavis, 70 of Star City, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at her home. She was born December 5, 1953 in Pine Bluff to the late Arlen and Nell Mearse Gray. She was a member of Star City First Baptist Church and was a retired waitress. She loved to read and write, loved flowers and gardening.
Survivors include 3 sons, Willie Crews of Pine Bluff, Michael (Diana) Parker and Charles Vaught, both of Mississippi; 2 daughters, Lindsey Carrington of Star City and Christy Robinson of Florida; 2 sisters, Bonnie Gibson and Mary Gray, both of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Hunter, Becca, Avery, Chance, Ryan, Tyler, Daniel, Pete, Gracie, Andrew, Abbigail, Claire, Rebecca, Autumn, and all the neighborhood kids that called her “memaw.”
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
