1942-2024
Barbara Ann Johnson Hillman, age 82, passed away March 16, 2024. She was born February 21, 1942 in Jerome, to the late Felton Johnson and Lorece Hendrix. Barbara was the oldest of 12; she lived in Portland until she was 16 when her daddy’s job brought them to Eudora, AR. She then attended Eudora High School, a school she came to love. Shortly after graduating, she attended a football game with Duper Hillman, and the rest is history. They were married for over 40 years. Barbara was a hard worker and a sports fan. She was a faithful member of Eudora Baptist Church. Above all else, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Allen “Duper" Hillman; brother Joe Johnson; sisters Darlene Hagood and Kay Moorman. Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Monica) Hillman of Lake Village, AR, and Jason (Carrie) Hillman of Hamburg, AR; daughter Lori (Bryan) Whittington of Lake Village, AR; brothers: Buddy (Diane) Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR, Johnny (Bonnie) Johnson Adamsville, TN, Richard (Treva) Johnson of Lake Village, AR; sisters: Elsie Taylor of Eudora, AR, Kathy (Ernie) Cain of Tyler, TX, Eva (Don) Dalton of Eudora, AR, Penny (Michael) Byrd of Oak Grove, LA, and Brenda (Mike) Verser of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Logan (Clark) Strange, Lara Beth (Justin) Harper, John Maddox Hillman, Brayden Hillman, Erin Hillman, and Anna Hillman and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Eudora Baptist Church in Eudora, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to service from 1:00pm – 2:00 pm.
