White Hall has named Daryl Patton as their next head football coach following unanimous vote in a special called board meeting Friday night.

Patton will make the move to White Hall from Little Rock Southwest where he was the inaugural head coach of the Gryphons.

He takes over a White Hall program that was led by interim head coach Jason Mitchell in 2023 following the untimely death of Ryan Mallet.

White Hall Superintendent Gary Williams spoke with Deltaplex News Friday night about the hire.

Williams said there was a lot of interest in the job.

The White Hall job is one that Daryl Patton wanted. He spoke with Deltaplex News about the job.

Patton said his goal is to compete for conference and state titles at White Hall.

Patton plans to meet with the Bulldog football players once school returns from winter break. He plans to install “The Bulldog Plan” beginning on day one.

White Hall will not be the first Bulldogs Patton has coached. He won four Class 7A state titles and send numerous players to play college and NFL football during his tenure with the Fayetteville Bulldogs. He says he wants to do the same at White Hall.
