When the Black Pilots of America wrap up their Memorial Day program at the Grider Field Airport, there will still be a lot of activity as a major project is set to begin.
Doug Hale, the long-time manager of the airport talked about that project when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Morning Show host Greg Horne said it sounded like this will be a massive undertaking, asking if the runway was “like 6,000 feet in length.”
Horne then asked Hale to talk about the condition of the runway now and what it will be like when the work is completed.
Hale went on to say this.
