Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Tuesday where she talked about the school district’s calendar for the next school year being approved.
She went on to explain the differences between the calendar that was approved and the one that was not.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Barbaree if the district is spending too much time worrying about 1 test, the state test but with a district like hers that had been underperforming for decades is it justifiable that you are compared to other districts?
Horne said letter grades can affect public opinion but at the same time you’ve got to have some unit of standard.
Horne told Barbaree that it would be really easy not to worry about the upper grades and concentrate on the lower grades.
