The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert regarding a recent spate of scams involving ankle bracelets.
The purpose of the scam is to fleece you of your money, Major Dennis Kendall explains.
Kendall says the Sheriff’s office doesn’t operate the ankle bracelet system, nor do they make calls about the devices:
