The Saracen Casino Resort Event Center has announced two big shows in July! First, Georgia native Jeff Foxworthy will come to Pine Bluff on Saturday, July 11th. Exactly a week later, The Australian Pink Floyd Show will perform.
Jeff Foxworthy was born in Georgia and was living an ordinary life working for IBM when, on a dare, he did a few minutes of stand-up at a local comedy club. A few months later, he quit his job and started doing comedy full-time. His early routines centered on family situations, but he became a household name with his famous tagline, “You might be a redneck…” The rest, as they say, is history.
Foxworthy will be followed by The Australian Pink Floyd Show on Saturday, July 18th. This is considered the premier tribute band to the legendary Pink Floyd. Originally created in 1988, The Australian Pink Floyd Show has performed in 35 countries to over 5 million fans. Perhaps its most notable performance was at David Gilmour’s, 50th birthday party. Gilmour was the lead guitarist in the original Pink Floyd.
Both shows represent a hopeful change for Pine Bluff as Saracen’s Casino Resort Event Center begins bringing well-known performers and tourists to our city, which should pave the way for other businesses, as well. Tickets for Jeff Foxworthy and The Australian Pink Floyd Show go on sale on March 20th and start at $59 and $39 respectively.
