Officials with the Desha County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that Sheriff Mitch Grant resigned from his position with the office.
Officials did not explicitly state the circumstances that led up to his resignation, but said that Grant resigned for “personal reasons.’ The Desha County Quorum Court is now set to meet next Thursday night to appoint an interim sheriff. Deltaplex News will continue to update this story
