PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The City of Pine Bluff is warning residents about a fraudulent advertisement circulating online that falsely claims the city is participating in a grocery allowance program.

According to city officials, the advertisement promotes a program through an organization identified as the “Senior American Community.” The city stated it is not affiliated with, sponsoring, endorsing or participating in the program.

Officials are urging residents not to click on the advertisement or any associated links and to avoid providing personal, financial or identifying information. The city said doing so could increase the risk of scams, identity theft or other fraudulent activity.
