Lincoln County Judge Buddy Lynn Earnest discussed his county’s weight limits

Lincoln County Judge Buddy Lynn Earnest on Friday that unlike Jefferson County, his county has not imposed weight limits on county roads.

The state has an 85,000 pound limit on the amount of weight a truck can have to operate but County Judge Gerald Robinson reduced that limit to 68,000 pounds, citing damage to county roads, particularly from trucks hauling logs.

Earnest was asked if he had reduced the weight limits on trucks in Lincoln County.

Oldies 1013 Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Earnest if his county was going with the 85,000n pound limit the state set.

Earnest also said log truckers in his county have cooperated with his efforts.
