(NOTE LANGUAGE) The reunion we’ve all been waiting for has finally come to be.

Director Lee Daniels joined actress Mo’Nique on stage in Staten Island on Friday night, to mend their friendship and apologize for a nearly 13-year feud.

The 54-year-old comedian was in New York for her “Mo’Nique and Friends: April Fools Day with The Queen of Comedy” event, when Daniels crashed the show, and in front the entire audience, addressed the 2009 fallout.

“It took me a long time to realize. I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did,” the Empire creator said. “Y’all, and she was my best friend, my best friend.”

Daniels said that, despite the long-standing issues that Mo’Nique’s spoke about — that the director and others Black Hollywood leaders had blackballed her for not promoting the film Precious — he loves Mo’Nique and was ready to get started working with her again.

“Y’all think that Precious was just…that was God working through both of us. And we’re gonna f****** do it again,” Daniels said before they both broke out in celebration.

And “do it again” is what they plan to do soon. Daniels also announced that Mo’Nique will star in his upcoming Netflix film Demon House, replacing Octavia Spencer, who had to bow out due to her busy schedule, according to Deadline

Throughout Daniels’ apology, and as seen in a clip of the exchange, Mo’Nique made it clear that the feeling was mutual. “I don’t ever want us to lose that magic again,” she said.

Daniels shared loving images of the reunion, on Twitter, and Mo’Nique took to her Instagram to share the same. “NO CAPTION NEEDED I LOVE US 4REAL❤️,” she wrote.
