The White Hall Bulldogs have made a lot of strides since Josh Hayes was named head coach two years ago, and the 2022-23 season has had a lot of high points for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs still have a chance to make the Class 5A State Tournament, but they are going to need a win against Lake Hamilton on Tuesday and some help from Sheridan in order to make it in.
Coach Josh Hayes spoke with Deltaplex News to discuss what has to happen for the Bulldogs to make it into the tournament.
Sheridan’s Peyton Free hit a buzzer beater from half court on Friday to give the Yellowjackets a win over Benton. The win put the Bulldogs in the position they are in.
The Bulldogs have doubled their win total under Hayes and he said that regardless of what happens this week he feels like this has been a successful season.
Hayes also said he likes the direction the Bulldog basketball program is headed in.
