The Cleveland County School District voted to name Jerrod Williams as their next Superintendent in a special called board meeting Tuesday night. Williams will replace current Superintendent Craig Dupuy, who is leaving at the end of the year.

Williams was last employed by the Sheridan School District before the Sheridan School Board voted unanimously to terminate his employment on February 14, 2022.

The reasons for Williams’ termination at Sheridan were never officially announced by the Sheridan School District nor Williams himself.

Deltaplex News is told that Williams will officially take over as Superintendent of the Cleveland County School District when the new school calendar year begins this summer.
