Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson discusssed the recent changes on weight limits on county roads

Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson recently changed the weight limit on county roads, angering some in the trucking industry and some members of the Quorum Court.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Wednesday, Robinson defended his action.

He went on to say this.

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Robinson if the change applied to all county roads or just the roads he had mentioned.

The new weight limit for county roads is 68,000 pounds, Robinson said.

Horne mentioned that logging is a big industry, affecting not only haulers and those that cut the trees, but the owners of the land and the paper mills and ask if the change was causing a big hassle for Robinson.
