Several thousand people in Jefferson County remained without power Monday but according to County Judge Gerald Robinson, “the roads are in pretty good shape.”

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Robinson said this.

He said county road personnel are now working to clear the debris from the side of roads and out of ditches. He asked if the city was responsible for debris in the city and the county was responsible for debris in the county and do they work together.

Robinson said he issued a disaster declaration for Jefferson County Friday.
