In an effort to save the lives of people who have suffered drug overdoses, Jefferson Regional Hospital will be offering free Narcan training later this month.

Hospital spokeswoman Wendy Talbot said Thursday the training will be held on Jan. 19 at the White Hall Community Center from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and is being offered a no cost to the public through a grant from the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Talbot talked about the training.

She went on to say this.

Talbot said people who receive the training would be given a Narcan kit and said she currently has about 50 people signed up for the training, which has a maximum of 200 people. She encouraged those interested in calling her at 870-541-7661 to register.
