GTLA signs contract with contractors for largest industrial project in state history to be in Jefferson County

Wednesday afternoon the long awaited GTL plant scheduled to be built in northern Jefferson County took a major leap forward as GTLA Company signed construction contracts with Hyundai ENG and S&B Engineering to begin work on the multi billion dollar facility in Jefferson County.  The signing and press conference took place at the Marriott hotel in downtown Little Rock with the head executives of all 3 companies and political figures from the state and Jefferson county in attendance.  The 3 phase GTO project will be the first of its kind in the USA and 7th in the world.  The project will employee 225 when completed but 2500 during the 7-9 year construction of the facility.  GTLA President Leon Codron spoke to Deltaplex News before the signing to discuss the largest industrial project in the states history.

County Judge Gerald Robinson, Mayor Shirley Washington, Allison Thompson and Scott George of the Alliance and Ryan Watley of GFPB were all in attendance for the signing which is could end up being the biggest catalyst of economic opportunity in the history of Jefferson County.
