Gov. Hutchinson and President Joe Biden along with Vice President Kamala Harris met at the White House on Friday.
The meeting that included other governors, was about the American Rescue Plan. The Plan, the administration’s COVID response plan, includes funding for vaccinations, provide immediate direct relief to families, and support struggling communities.
The administration’s American Rescue Plan includes checks for $1,400 checks per person, $160 billion to expand COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and other health care needs, $170 billion for schools, and another roughly $440 billion for struggling communities.
