Golden Lions Release 2024 Football Schedule

Pine Bluff, AR. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football team announced its 2024 season today, which features one first-time opponent, opponents from the ASUN, Ohio Valley, an SEC foe, and eight Southwestern Conference games, which includes six home games at Simmons Bank Field. 

The season will begin with a non-conference battle on Labor Day Weekend against the Arkansas Razorbacks on August 31 in Little Rock at War Memorial Stadium.  

The Golden Lions will open up at home against Arkansas Baptist College on September 7. This will be the first all-time meeting between the two programs.  

UAPB will travel two hours from Pine Bluff to Memphis, TN, on September 14 against Tennessee St. in the Southern Heritage Classic. This will be the second meeting between the two teams in the classic, in which last game, came down to a nail-biter.

The final non-conference game will see the Golden Lions host Central Arkansas on September 21 for an in-state matchup. This gridiron matchup will be the first time the Bears have played UAPB in Pine Bluff since 1994. 

In week five, the Golden Lions have a bye before opening SWAC play on the road against Alcorn St. on October 5.  

The Golden Lions will host Prairie View A&M at Simmons Bank Field on October 12, followed by a road game on October 19 at Grambling St.  

UAPB will return home for a Delta Classic showdown against Mississippi Valley St. for homecoming on October 26.  

The Golden Lions will kick off the month of November on the road at Jackson St. on November 2 before returning home to host Alabama A&M on November 9. 

UAPB will head to Baton Rouge, LA., to take on Southern U., on November 16, before the regular season concludes at home on November 23 against Texas Southern.
