UPDATE 11:45 PM:

The Cleveland County Office of Emergency Management has released the following statement about Wednesday’s thunderstorm fatality:

A call came in at 4:44 pm to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office from a party at a residence in the 300 Block of East 6th in Rison stating that a tree had fallen through their mobile home and that there was an individual trapped. Cleveland County Office of Emergency Management, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Rison Fire Department and EASI Ambulance Service responded.

Shortly after arrival of first responders, the Cleveland County Coroner’s Officer was contacted.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim and their family.

The Cleveland County Office of Emergency Management is reporting a fatality following Wednesday’s thunderstorms.

According to emergency officials a person was killed after a tree fell on a mobile home.

Reports state several trees were blown down in the Rison area. The exact location of the mobile home is unknown at this time.
